Hello everyone! Welcome to 2026!
One of my goals for 2026 is to make the most of my website, and upadate my blog every week. I want this to be a sort of digital journal, and a way to share my thoughts, ideas and opinions!!
Well okay, even though this wasn't this week, I traveled home to AZ in December right before Christmas, and I flew with American Airlines. At first, everything with this trip was actually going really well. All of my bags had been checked with no issues, and I even got an extra bag checked because of how full all my flights form Dublin were. To top this all off, I even decided to bring my bike home to AZ in a massive bike box. I genuinely thought that there was no way the box would make it to AZ, or that the airline would give me tones of trouble for the size, weight, or a variety of other factors. But my bike made both flights, and turned up in AZ just fine! What did not make the trip was my one bag with all of my clothes and shoes. Although this has been very disappointing, I understand that the situation is in part my fault, however American has done little to nothing to help me find my bag. I am under the impression that my bag should have been found on the evening that I arrived, or shortly after. I have been doing my best to contact American every day and continue to have them look for my bag, but I am losing hope that I will ever get my bag back. Yet, as per usual, I will be persistent and I will do my best to make the best of this (sort of) shitty situation!
In others news, my family had a delayed Christmas dinner with my aunt and uncle this week, and they gave me some really lovely presents! One of the presents was a mini watercolor set and two different water color paper pads. I am so excited to be able to begin this adventure, and I have even decided that I would like to try to do a "sketch a day", even if the sketch is of something small. Another gift that I received from this Christmas dinner with my family was the knowledge of how to make a sourdough starter from my aunt! She told us that she had made her own starter and that creating the starter was super easy too! So today I started my starter! I'm not sure if what I used will work or not, but I will try!
Other than that, I don't have much to say about this week! So I guess I will see you next week!
